New Zealand-bred galloper Sully will further his experience in Sydney on Saturday when he steps out in the Gr.3 Gloaming Stakes (1800m) at Rosehill.
The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained son of Reliable Man has earned a crack at black type following consecutive successes at Wangaratta and Bendigo.
“He’s bred to be a mile and a-half horse,” Busuttin said. “He won first-up over 1400m and then at 1600m, albeit he was a bit green. We have to get that sorted out if he’s to be competitive against the big guns.
“We’ve decided to have a crack at the Gloaming and all going well in to the Spring Champion Stakes.”
