Former New Zealand galloper Sound Proposition will take his chance in Saturday week’s $A1 million Gr.1 Epsom Handicap (1600m).
Trainer Kris Lees confirmed a crack at the Randwick feature with the son of Savabeel in the wake of his runner-up finish in the Gr.3 Cameron Handicap (1500m).
Sound Proposition had won his previous two starts and he is in the Epsom with 53.5kg.
“It looks to be a weight that Sound Proposition can be very competitive with and he’ll definitely line up in the Epsom,” Lees said.
