Megablast will strip in good order for Saturday’s Gr.3 Kingston Town Stakes (2000m) at Randwick, according to trainer Nigel Tiley.
“He’s done plenty of work,” the Pukekohe Park horseman said. “I’d like to think he’ll run well and then we can get a run in The Metropolitan and decide where we go after that.”
To be ridden in his Sydney debut by Jason Collett, Megablast has won eight races and came off a two-month break to carry 60kg to victory at Ellerslie last time out.
“He was knocking up at the end, but he was entitled to,” Tiley said. “He’ll take natural improvement from the run on Saturday, but I’m very happy with him.”
