Bobo So Good will make an appearance at his home meeting on Friday ahead of a crack at the best of his age group.

The Te Awamutu three-year-old finished third on debut last month and will strip an improved horse for the Vilagrad 1150, in which he will be partnered by Samantha Collett.

“He was a bit underdone for Taupo to be fair, he had won a trial but that was only 600 metres and we couldn’t get another trial into him,” trainer Carl Henderson said.

“He had a good blow and he’s improved. He’s got plenty of ability, but he’s still got a bit to learn.

“I’d prefer a better track, but we’re looking at the Hawke’s Bay Guineas so he’s got to have this run.
“I’ve also put him in the 2000 Guineas. We think a fair bit of him.”

Henderson is also expecting another strong showing from Keep Up in the El Hermano @ Cheval Stud 1580.

“There’s been plenty of rain obviously and he’s second up over a mile, so that’s perhaps a question mark, but he has been going well,” he said.

“He’s a typical Keeper and a big horse. I know he’s a five-year-old, but he’s still a baby and learning.”

Also to be ridden by Collett, Keep Up was a trial winner at Te Teko before he finished a close second when resuming last month at Taupo. – NZ Racing Desk.
