Former New Zealand galloper Humidor has won jockey Mark Zahra over.
The Darren Weir-trained son of Teofilo, winner of last season’s Gr.1 Australian Cup, impressed Zahra, despite the gelding finishing only eighth in Saturday’s Gr.1 New Zealand Bloodstock Memsie Stakes.
“He ran super. Apart from the winners, he ran as good as anything on the day,” he said. “A hundred metres after the line I was nearly jumping over Vega Magic.”
