Smart five-year-old Dolcetto will renew his rivalry with the Group One hopeful Longchamp on Saturday.
The pair will clash in the Johnson Brothers Open 1400 at Tauherenikau with the former’s trainer a touch unsure about the outcome this time around.
“It’s just been so wet that it’s been hard to get a good line on him,” Sylvia Kay said. “There’s not much you can do about it, but he does seem to be thriving on the racing though and I’m happy with the weight.”
Dolcetto will carry the minimum of 54kg, the same he carried when he beat Longchamp in an open sprint last time out at Awapuni.
