Gypsy Fair is racing on borrowed time and she has an opportunity to advance her record at Otaki on Saturday.
The winner of seven races including the Gr.3 Merial Metric Mile, she will step out in the Ekraar at Linwood Park Stud Handicap.
“She was a bit disappointing last start so we’ve put the blinkers on,” Taranaki trainer and part-owner Allan Sharrock said. “She’s probably a run or two away from going to stud.”
Sharrock will also be represented by Darci Mac in the open sprint. “He’s got to be a chance. He was caught wide last start and the inside three horses were the first three home,” he said.
