Alibi, the winner of two legs of the Singapore Four-Year-old Challenge, has pulled up well after running fourth in the Singapore Derby, according to his trainer Michael Clements.
The Darci Brahma entire previously won the Stewards’ Cup (1400m) and Patron’s Bowl (1600m) before running a brave fourth in the Derby to fellow New Zealand-bred Infantry.
“I am really happy with the way that Alibi went in the Derby last Sunday,” Clements said. “His run was a great effort, but the 2000m is probably a bit too far for him at this stage.
“He’s had a great campaign and is having a short break at the moment. He’ll be resuming in the (Singapore) Jumbo Jet Trophy which will be run over 1400m in September.”
