Harry Bull has called on a fellow New Zealander to partner William Wallace at Doomben on Saturday.
The Hunterville trainer, who operates in partnership with his father Adrian, has booked Bridget Grylls for the ride in the Brett Whalley & Co Handicap.
“I think Bridget rode a couple of times for Dad about five years ago when she was an apprentice in New Zealand,” Bull said.
Grylls began her apprenticeship at Awapuni with Lisa Latta and rode her first winner, Princess Lincoln, at Wanganui in June, 2012. She later transferred to Matamata trainers Ken and Bev Kelso.
