Expectations are high for the debut hurdle winner Heistheone.
Accomplished jumps trainer John Wheeler produced the Istidaad gelding for a comfortable first-up win over the smaller fences at Hawke’s Bay on Saturday.
“I'll probably look at the Grand National Hurdles,” he said.
Heistheone won three times on the flat and finished runner-up over 2500m during the New Zealand Cup carnival at Riccarton in the spring.
