Well-related three-year-old Artaxerxes is on target for an age group event at New Plymouth next month.
The half-brother to the multiple black type winner Nymph Monte has been set for the $40,000 New Zealand Bloodstock Leasing & Financing 3YO on July 22.
The Keeper gelding has a win and two placings from his five starts and a record that has attracted overseas attention.
"He was sold, but he failed the vet," part-owner and trainer Grant Nicholson said.
