The Hawke's Bay carnival will be the spring focus for the dual Listed winner Nymph Monte.
"The plan is to run him in the mile (Gr.1 Windsor Park Plate) and then into the 2000 metre race (Gr.1 Livamol Classic)," part-owner and trainer Grant Nicholson said.
Nymph Monte hasn't raced since he finished at the tail of the field in the Gr.2 Auckland Cup.
"He had a few little issues and then he was ridden in front in the Cup – that wasn't the plan, he's never been there in his life," Nicholson said.
"He's had two months out and he's been back in for a month. He's very, very well."
