gavelhouse.com New Zealand graduate Jumeirah provided her new owners with a quick return on investment in the TeMuka Transport 1976 Ltd Maiden race at the South Canterbury Racing Club last week.
Jumeirah ran a stylish second in the NZB Insurance Pearl Series Maiden at Ashburton first up for new trainer Les Didham last month and from just two starts her earnings now total over $8,000, a pleasing return off her $3,200 purchase price.
The Bachelor Duke mare is a half-sister to Hong Kong Gr.3 winner Multivictory and was sold on account of The Oaks Stud as a lightly raced trial winner.
"She was a nice looking type and showed promise in her previous starts," commented owner Ben Appley when discussing what caught his eye about her.
"Now that she has come down South and performed so well we will be looking to the 65 rating benchmark race over 1600m next week in Timaru and in the longer term to get her over more ground."
