Te Akau Racing will make late entry fees of $18,000 each to supplement pre-race favourite Melody Belle into Saturday week's Gr.1 J.J. Atkins and Shocking Luck into the Gr.1 Queensland Derby.
Due to a communication misunderstanding, both horses were notable absentees on Wednesday morning from the lists of first acceptances for the Doomben features.
"We will submit late nominations for both horses who, providing all is well, are definite starters. Whilst we are very disappointed, Te Akau accepts full responsibility and has rectified the matter accordingly," they said.
