Group Two winner Nurse Kitchen has topped the first day of the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale at A$1.7 million.
Bred by former trainer Peter Moody and raced by his wife Sarah, Nurse Kitchen, who was born at Waikato Stud, won the Fillies Classic at Moonee Valley in October.
The daughter of Savabeel also finished second in the Gr.1 Vinery Stud Stakes in March and will keep racing as a four-year-old next season for the China Horse Club.
"Obviously she is a filly that we think has great racing upside," the China Horse Club's Michael Wallace said.
"She looks easily capable of winning Group One races if everything went her way."
Peter Moody said he hoped to reap further rewards with Nurse Kitchen's full sister.
"We always held her in very high esteem from her very early days," Moody said.
"It's a dream result. We need those. She's a filly that Sarah and I bred and Sarah ultimately raced with David Brideoake and they did a tremendous job with her."
"We've got mum and the full sister weanling at home so it was time to cash in and move on and let's hope the full sister can do the job for us."
Nurse Kitchen was one of three lots sold on Tuesday for more than A$1 million with New Zealand Group One winner Soriano, who is on foal to Tavistock fetching $1.15 million. -AAP
