Fraser Auret is expecting a bold first-up showing from Alinko Prince at Awapuni on Saturday.
"He galloped particularly well on Wednesday morning on a loose track and I'm very happy with him," the Marton trainer said.
Alinko Prince will make his first appearance since finishing out of the money in the Gr.3 Wellington Cup when he lines up in the Listed James Bull Rangitikei Gold Cup.
The Alamosa five-year-old produced a career-best performance earlier this year when he won the Listed Marton Cup.
