Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young will give Anaheim his chance at Group One level in Saturday's South Australian Derby.
A solid track gallop at Cranbourne has convinced his trainers that the colt deserves an opportunity, despite a moderate last-start sixth at Caulfield.
"Natalie galloped him and she was pleased with him so we're going to press on and have a crack at it," Busuttin said.
He has singled out as the horse to beat the New Zealand-bred Odeon, a son of Zacinto from the stable of Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra who won the Caulfield event that Anaheim was beaten in last month.
