Blue Shadow will be given opportunities to add to her winning record following her runaway maiden success at Matamata on Wednesday.
The Dalghar filly produced a dominant performance in the hands of Michael Coleman to take top honours in the Duncan & Ebbett 1200 at just her second race day appearance.
"She's got some wheels and she got away nicely and wasn't far away," trainer Graeme Hughes said.
"He got her out at the right time and she did the rest. It's taken ages to get her to the races and the owner wants her to carry on, she can handle the wet tracks."
