Shaun Fannin will continue his successful association with Kevin Myers in the Grand Annual Steeplechase at Warrnambool on Thursday.
The Hastings-based jockey will ride the Patrick Payne-prepared Slowpoke Rodriguez, a New Zealand-bred son of Istidaad part-owned by the Myers.
"He's ridden on very tricky tracks in New Zealand and this is a very tricky track and local knowledge goes a long way, but I'm pretty confident he'll get the job done," Payne said.
"He's a very easy horse to ride. A really quiet, nice genuine horse but whether he's good enough and whether he's a genuine stayer, we'll have to wait and see."
