The best is yet to be seen of the unbeaten four-year-old Grand Rio, according to his co-trainer Andrew Forsman.
"He's still green and got a lot of maturing to do so it's all ahead of him," the Cambridge horseman said.
Grand Rio was a runaway debut winner on a heavy track at Rotorua before he coped admirably with improved underfoot conditions to claim Rating 65 honours at Avondale on Anzac Day.
"That was a very good effort and the further he goes the better he'll be," said Forsman, who prepares Grand Rio with Murray Baker.
