Richard Collett has been forced to rethink Top Prospect's programme.
The Pukekohe trainer had been keen to target this Saturday's Gr.2 Valachi Downs Championship Stakes, but a missed lead-up run at the recent Counties meeting has ruled out a start at Ellerslie.
"He's had a problem with his hoof and won't be conditioned enough for 2000 metres so we'll run him in the three-year-old mile at Te Rapa instead," Collett said.
