Last-start winner Uber Cougar has the Queensland winter carnival on her programme.

The daughter of Shocking recently broke her maiden at Pukekohe at her fourth start from trainer Peter Lock's Te Aroha stable and she has subsequently had a change of ownership and stable.

"I raced her with Gerard Peterson and I've sold my half share," Lock said.

"She's a very good filly and I think she will be going right through the grades. Sometimes you have to sell for the money and I did so reluctantly."

Uber Cougar will be crossing the Tasman to join Michael Moroney's operation, who will be targeting three-year-old black type for the filly in Queensland.

Peterson has enjoyed a long and successful association with the stable, his highlight being as a part-owner of the Moroney-trained Brew, winner of the Gr.1 Melbourne Cup in 2000.

Meanwhile, Lock's focus will turn to his progressive Tavistock gelding Hiflyer who holds a nomination for this Saturday's Gr.2 Manco Easter Stakes at Ellerslie.

"The horse is well and Johnathan Parkes will come up to ride him again," he said.

Parkes rode Hiflyer for the first time earlier this month at Wellington where they comfortably accounted for the two-time Group One winner Nashville on a heavy track.

"He wasn't 100 per cent happy in the ground and Johnathan said it was just his class," Lock said.

"He's done very well since then and he worked really nicely this morning." – NZ Racing Desk.
