Just Ishi continued the perfect start he has made to his current campaign when he beat his stablemate Nom du Beel at Wanganui on Thursday.
The Gail Temperton-trained nine-year-old, who had won first-up at Hawera earlier this month, was ridden to victory in the Kevin Myers Jumpers Highweight by Gary Walsh.
"I'm very happy with the horse and the ride," Temperton said. "Gary does all the trackwork, jumping and schooling, I'm so pleased for him."
Just Ishi has also won three times over the small fences and he will have one more outing before resuming his jumping career in the Waikato Hurdles.
"There's talk of taking him to Australia later in the season," wining rider Walsh said. "He's beaten Sea King and Who Shot Thebarman previously so he deserves his chance over there."
