A clearance rate of 86% and turnover of more than NZ$126,000 in the latest gavelhouse.com New Zealand auction matches the previous fortnightly auction's record clearance rate and exceeds the turnover by NZ$26,000.
Of the 35 Lots on offer, 30 sold with the top sale price NZ$41,500 for a share in The Oaks Stud five-time Group One winning sire Darci Brahma. On account of Little Avondale Stud at Lot 33, he is already the sire of Oaks winners Risque, Artistic and Gust of Wind while his daughter Devise finished second in the weekend's Gr.1 Wellfield NZ Oaks and is now set to cross the Tasman for the Gr.1 Australian Oaks.
Other highlights included Richardson Racing's Lot 24 Great Expectations, a winning O'Reilly broodmare who sold for NZ$22,500, and another stallion share on account of Little Avondale in Hallmark Stud's exciting young sire Super Easy at Lot 35 which fetched NZ$12,500.
