Last season's Gr.1 New Zealand Derby winner Rangipo is scheduled to make two more appearances in his current campaign.
The four-year-old resumed last Saturday with a bold third in the Gr.3 Darley Plate at Ellerslie and he will step up to a mile next time out.
"It was great to see him back and it was a super run," trainer Tony Pike said.
"At this stage he'll go to Tauranga for the Japan/NZ Trophy and then to the Easter. He'll have a break after that and we'll get him ready for the Hawke's Bay carnival in the spring."
