Gallant last-start winner Ali Baba will head to the central districts for his next start.
"He'll run at Trentham in a Rating 85 mile," said Nick Fairweather, racing manager for trainers Mike Moroney and Pam Gerard. "We think a mile is his best trip.
"We tried to get him to the Derby last season, but he doesn't stay. He did run fifth in the Waikato Guineas, but he was out on his feet at the end."
Ali Baba returned to winning form last time out at Matamata where he overcame a wide run.
