The well-bred youngster Ardrossan continues to make all the right moves for Cambridge trainer Stephen Marsh.
Runner-up in his first trial, the two-year-old won his 800 metre heat at Rotorua on Tuesday ahead of his first race day appearance.
"We'll go to the races with him now, I'm not sure just where yet but he is ready," Marsh said.
"He's got a bright future and he's a very well-bred colt. He's by Redoute's Choice so we'll obviously be hoping to make a stallion out of him."
