Permission has been granted for Freelance Jockey Derek Leung to be absent from Hong Kong in order to partner Cha Siu Bao in the Gr.1 Vodafone NZ Derby at Ellerslie on Saturday.
Leung, who formerly rode for Wexford Stables, will depart Hong Kong following the Sha Tin race meeting on Wednesday, 1 March and return to Hong Kong in order to fulfil riding engagements at the Sha Tin race meeting on Sunday, 5 March. As such, he will not miss a Hong Kong race meeting. -HKJC
