Multiple Group One winner Kawi hasn't missed a beat since a tardy start brought about his downfall when resuming at Te Rapa.
He got home late for fifth in the Gr.1 NRM Sprint and his work ahead of Saturday's Gr.1 Haunui Farm WFA Classic at Otaki has been first class.
"We are very happy with him. His work on Tuesday morning was probably the best I've seen from him this prep and he looks to have improved physically," trainer Allan Sharrock said.
