The stakes placed son of Zabeel was a winner in Victoria on Tuesday for the now Cranbourne-based trainers.
Gifted Lad posted two victories and a Listed placing in the VRC St Leger when first prepared at Cambridge by Busuttin and Young before he suffered a tendon injury.
Following a lengthy break he joined Gary Alton's stable and following a placing from a handful of starts, he crossed the Tasman again and struck first-up over 2200 metres at Sale in the hands of Noel Callow.
