The Marton Jockey Club's twilight meeting on March 3 will signal the return of racing to Awapuni.
Trials were held on the course on Tuesday with nine heats run around the new, alternative bend and a meeting was subsequently held with NZ Thoroughbred Racing, the Racing Integrity Unit, RACE and senior jockeys.
The outcome was a unanimous decision to give Awapuni the green light with some minor distance changes for the Marton fixture to be advised in the near future.
