An added benefit of the South Island Session in the National Yearling Sale Series is that any yearling purchased or passed in is eligible to enter the lucrative Karaka Million Series. 2017 NZB yearlings are eligible to enter for the $1 million Karaka Million in 2018, the $1 million Karaka Million 3YO Classic in 2019, plus the $100,000 Karaka Stayers Cup from 2018 and each year thereafter.
The $1,000,000 Karaka Million for two-year-olds will be one of two New Zealand Bloodstock highlight incentive races with the new addition of the $1,000,000 Karaka Million 3YO Classic boosting the Series for graduates of its National Yearling Sales Series.
