Group One-winning filly I Am A Star will resume against the older horses in Saturday's Gr.2 Rubiton Stakes.
"She's going well. She looks far better now than what she did in the spring," trainer Shane Nichols said of his New Zealand-bred stable star. "She's strengthened up and her work has been good.
"The Rubiton is a nice kick-off for her with 53.5 kilos to launch into a preparation that will involve possibly some trips to Sydney and back to Melbourne and even maybe Adelaide at the end of the preparation."
Successful in the Gr.1 Myers Classic last campaign, the daughter of I Am Invincible will be ridden this weekend by Craig Williams.
