Talented three-year-old sprinter Ferrando will be aimed towards the Gr.3 Mongolian Khan Trophy (1200m) [formerly the Mr Tiz Stakes] at Elleslie on March 4 before a likely trip across the Tasman.
The Graeme & Debbie Rogerson-trained speedster has won three of his five starts to date, including a last-start victory at Trentham.
"We'll have a meeting after the Mr Tiz and look at the Championships in Sydney, where he will either run in the three-year-old race or the TJ Smith," Graeme Rogerson said.
The Gr.2 Arrowfield Sprint for three-year-olds carries prizemoney of A$600,000, while the Gr.1 Darley TJ Smith Stakes is worth A$2.5 million.
Meanwhile, Rogerson's Group Two winning juvenile Gift Of Power has gone for a spell after finishing 10th behind Melody Belle in the Karaka Million.
"She pulled up a bit jarred up and didn't handle going right handed. She lugged out," Rogerson said.
