Karaka Million runner-up Hasahalo is almost certain to be returning to Ellerslie to chase a Group One prize.
"All going well, we'll be back for the Diamond Stakes," trainer Stephen McKee said. "She really rattled home, but to be fair the winner (Melody Belle) was too good.
"We got a bit further back than we wanted when the pace went out of the race."
Hasahalo's previous three appearances had featured a victory in the Gr.3 Eclipse Stakes and he finished runner-up in the Gr.2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes.
