Luck sides with promising 4YO

The lightly-tried mare Ja Ja Binks has enjoyed a change in her racing fortunes.

She appreciated a strong pace at Ellerslie on Sunday before finishing off strongly under visiting jockey Hugh Bowman to win the Brighthill Yearlings 1200.

Ja Ja Binks has now won two of her four starts for the Cambridge-based husband and wife training team of David and Emma-Lee Browne, who also own the daughter of Falkirk.

Her performance came as no surprise to her connections following a previous fourth on the course on New Year's Day.

"She was very unlucky last time out so we thought this was a good race for her," Emma-Lee Browne said.
