Oscar Eight has been tossed a curve ball in his final New Zealand appearance.
The promising Showcasing youngster has drawn the outside gate in Sunday's Karaka Million at Ellerslie.
"He'll be heading off to Singapore and that was always the plan," trainer Nigel Tiley said.
Oscar Eight finished runner-up in both his first two starts, including a second in the Listed Murdoch Newell Stakes, before he ran fourth at Ellerslie last month.
