Three-year-old Unfazed has made an encouraging start to her career.
The well-bred filly was successful at Rotorua on Wednesday at her third appearance for trainers Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards.
"It makes me very proud for Te Akau to have one of the last ever Zabeel fillies and to be chosen by Sir Patrick and Cambridge Stud to train her," Te Akau principal David Ellis said.
In the colours of Sir Patrick and Lady Hogan, Unfazed is raced with a sizeable syndicate of rugby identities.
"We own the filly and race her on lease with others, including some of the Super 15 referees and they'll all be absolutely over the moon," Sir Patrick said.
"There were only five foals born in the last crop of Zabeel. I couldn't be more pleased and she looks pretty handy to me."
