Wehadadeal will further his classic preparation with a trip south to Wellington this weekend.
The Gr.1 Vodafone New Zealand Derby hope will take on the older horses in a Rating 65 mile at Trentham on Saturday.
Trained by Graeme Sanders and Debbie Sweeney, Wehadadeal won his maiden at Te Rapa last month before he finished an unlucky fifth in the Gr.2 Great Northern Guineas at Ellerslie on New Year's Day.
"He's a lovely horse and he got a decent check at the start of the race and he got well back, which wasn't the plan," Sanders said. "After Saturday, he'll probably go to the Avondale Guineas."
