Bloodstock Central Launched |
The online portal "Bloodstock Central" goes live today in what is an exciting new venture for six of Australasia's leading Bloodstock Agents.
Bloodstock Central provides the agents with a great platform to market an ongoing selection of bloodstock that they believe offer value, to a much wider audience. In doing so it will provide buyers with opportunities that they may otherwise have missed out on. At the same time it will provide genuine sellers of quality bloodstock with a great opportunity to market their horses at anytime during the year to an international market at minimal cost to them.
The Partners believe integrity is paramount and that it is important that the Buyer and Seller retain the authentic experience of dealing directly with an experienced Bloodstock Agent. Bloodstock Central will ensure this is the case.

Looking forward to 2017 |
The highlight of 2016 was Sydney's Championship Day on 9th April when Sofia Rosa won the $1million Gr1 ATC Oaks and Lucia Valentinabrilliantly won the $4million Gr1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Both were purchased as yearlings by Bruce for their owner Lib Petagna.
Other highlights were:
Ugo Foscolo winning 5 out of 6 including the Gr1 NZ 2000 Guineas & the Gr2 Waikato RC Sarten Memorial.
Eleonora winning the Gr3 MRC Ethereal Stakes and running 3rd in the Gr1 VRC Oaks.
Saracino winning the Gr2 Foxbridge Plate & the Gr2 VRC Danehill Stakes.
Ambitious Champion winning the HK Gr3 HKJC Queen Mother Memorial Cup
With Lucia Valentina now retired, the focus for 2017 switches to some exciting prospects that look capable of winning at the highest level.
Sofia Rosa appears to be on track for a strong Autumn campaign in Sydney. She didn't come up in the spring but after a good break she has never looked better and her work is outstanding.
Eleonora will also be heading to Sydney for the Gr1 Vinery S before looking to replicate Sofia Rosa's Gr1 ATC Oaks performance.
Back home the Savabeel filly Nicoletta is on track for the Gr1 NZ Oaks while Saracino (Per Incanto colt) is likely to run fresh up in the Gr1 Waikato RC NRM Sprint before heading to Sydney. Another talented 3yo filly is Collay (Makfi) who is likely to run at Rotorua next week.
Others to follow include the Kris Lees trained 3yo filly Rosa Carolina (Savabeel) & Saturday's brilliant Warwick Farm winner Dal Cielo.
Last years yearling purchases have impressed during their early education however only Ardrossan (Redoute's Choice colt) has trialed. He looks an exciting prospect and is just back in work after a 6 week break.
The search for the next star begins |
At the completion of the Magic Million sale, the focus will switch to the Karaka Sales which begin on 30 January. Karaka has proven to be a wonderfully consistant source of Group winners for Bruce and his clients and this years catalogue will again include a number of high quality yearlings at realistic prices. It's just a matter of finding them.
