Mister Impatience's latest performance has satisfied his connections ahead of the defence at Trentham of his Gr.3 Wallaceville Estate Wellington Cup crown.
The Michael Moroney and Pam Gerard-trained stayer was unplaced on New Year's Day in the Gr.3 City of Auckland Cup, but the race wasn't run to suit the gelding.
"We were really happy with him," Ballymore Stables racing manager Nick Fairweather said. "He had to go back from the wide draw and they didn't go overly hard. Sam Spratt was pleased with him."
