Talented Cambridge three-year-old Saracino will shoot for his second Te Rapa weight-for-age sprint feature this season when he tackles February's Gr.1 NRM Sprint (1400m).
Group One-placed at two, Saracino began his three-year-old season with a win in the Gr.2 Foxbridge Plate (1200m) at Te Rapa in August before winning the Gr.2 Danehill Stakes (1200m) at Flemington the following month.
While he failed to add to his tally during the Melbourne spring, Saracino has his trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman excited for the New Year.
"He's already a weight-for-age winner on the track and we think he'll be very competitive in that sprint," Baker said.
