Emily Farr posted a significant win when she was successful in the Harcourts Taupo Cup.
She recently transferred her apprenticeship to Graeme and Debbie Rogerson and her success aboard Francis Drake on Friday was her first for the Tuhikaramea trainers.
Under Farr's guidance, the Tavistock five-year-old turned his fortunes around after he had finished fifth at his last appearance when denied room in the run home.
"He was very unlucky at Te Rapa," Debbie Rogerson said.
