Cylinder Beach has lived up to prediction that he would be major player in the Brisbane summer but trainer Desleigh Forster believes the best is yet to come.
The Brisbane summer carnival ends on Saturday at Eagle Farm before action moves to the Gold Coast and the four-year-olds will again be centre stage.
Cylinder Beach will line up in the Listed Bernborough Stakes (1600m) where he will be seeking revenge for an unlucky last-start second in the Brisbane Handicap.
Cylinder Beach won the Listed Recognition Stakes before coming from last in the Brisbane Handicap.
Forster said Cylinder Beach was likely to go for a spell after Saturday with no suitable races left for the son of Showcasing.
Forster believes there will be bigger things ahead for Cylinder Beach with the Sydney Autumn Carnival and the Brisbane Winter Carnival both possibilities.
""There are some races in Sydney which would suit around the 1600 metre range. Of course the Stradbroke Handicap here is in the back of my mind."
