Saint Emilion is in the right order to give a strong account of himself in the Gr.1 Zabeel Classic on Boxing Day.
The Andrew Forsman and Murray Baker-prepared gelding thrilled his trainers with his last-start fourth over a mile in the Gr.3 Eagle Technology Stakes.
"He was very good, the trip was just a bit too sharp for him," Forsman said.
The stable is also upbeat about the chances of Bonneval in the Gr.2 Cambridge Stud Eight Carat Classic.
"We've always had a lot of time for her," Forsman said. "We're confident that she can run in the top two or three."
Stablemate and fellow three-year-old Jon Snow is another in good condition for the Conveyancing Show Lawyers 1400.
"He's fine and he had a quiet trial at Te Aroha. He's ready to go," Forsman said.
