The well-related Chispa De La Vida will make her next appearance on her home track on Boxing Day.
"She's come through her last race really well and she'll run in a Rating 65 mile here," Awapuni trainer Tony Kaye said.
A half-sister by Keeper to the dual Group One winner Tarzino, Chispa De La Vida has won once from six starts and last time out she finished third at Waipukurau.
"I really expected her to win, but she just got a bit too far back," Kaye said. "She's got the ability, but she's quite a petite mare and she needs her races spaced."
