Barbaric is in the right order to further his already impressive record at Te Rapa on Saturday.
The course specialist will also benefit from stable apprentice Hairi Marzuki's four kilo claim to bring his weight down to 58kg in the Lowe Schollum & Jones Premier.
Barbaric, who has won four times on the track, finished seventh at Ellerslie last time out after being caught four wide without cover.
"I didn't mind his run at all," trainer Stephen Marsh said. "He'll appreciate being back at Te Rapa and a bit of give in the ground."
Marsh is also happy with the condition of stablemate and race rival Rocanto, who has a win and a second from his two runs this time in.
"He's going well and his work has been very good," he said.
