Punters might be well advised to ignore Sopraffina's last-start failure when assessing her chances at Ellerslie on Saturday.
The well-related High Chaparral mare, who is a half-sister to the Gr.1 VRC Oaks placegetter Eleonora, raced below expectations at Woodville and subsequent blood tests suggested that she had been off-colour.
Trained by Steven Ramsay and Julia Ritchie, Sopraffina will run in the Rating 75 Dunstan Feeds Stayers' Qualifier.
