Multiple Group One winner Volkstok'n'barrell will team up with his talented stablemate Hasselhoof in an exhibition gallop at Ellerslie on Saturday.
The outing will further their preparations for the Gr.1 Rydges Wellington Captain Cook Stakes at Trentham a week later.
Volkstok'n'barrell, who has made a good recovery from a stone bruise that forced him out of the recent Gr.2 Tauranga Stakes, hasn't raced since the Queensland winter carnival.
"He's on the big side and will benefit from the run at Trentham, but he's well in himself and we are pretty happy with him," said Donna Logan, who trains in partnership with Chris Gibbs.
