Expatriate New Zealand trainer Stephen Gray has enjoyed a dream Group double at Kranji after the Kiwi-bred Bahana's victory in Sunday's Singapore Gold Cup.
He produced the son of Elusive City to claim the feature after he had also won the E. W. Barker Trophy on Friday night with Lim's Cruiser.
"This is why we wake up at 5am every morning," Gray said. "Horses like Bahana and Lim's Cruiser make it all worth it and I'm lucky to also have great owners supporting me."
Gray enjoyed a successful training partnership with his father Kevin before relocating to Singapore in 2000.
